DESCRIPTION:
Engineering is Elementary (EIE.org) offers an engaging and comprehensive one-day training program designed to equip educators with the skills and knowledge they need to successfully teach engineering to their elementary science students. The training covers a range of STEELS topics, including the engineering design process, inquiry-based teaching strategies, and best practices for integrating the new PA Technology and Engineering standards into existing curricula. Participants will also have the opportunity to learn about EIE.org's award-winning engineering curricula and gain hands-on experience with the accompanying materials. With this training, elementary educators will be able to borrow the EiE kits from the CSIU lending library to use in their classrooms. By empowering educators with the tools and knowledge they need to teach engineering effectively we are helping to inspire the next generation of innovators, problem solvers, and citizens.
