DESCRIPTION
The Department of Online Learning is offering a series of (5) workshops focusing on quality online course design. Participants will utilize an online course design rubric to apply national and industry standards for quality course design through a series of (5) full day workshops. Day 1 will focus on the course design template and industry standards for quality. Subsequent workshops will focus on a course design standard area, with time for application of new learning. Participants will leave complete the workshop series with a framework for their online course design modules, and a completed online unit of study including an introductory module for an online course. Participants must attend all sessions as part of the event series. Each workshop builds upon the prior session's learning and content. Completion of the full series is required for Act 48 credit. Partial Act 48 credit will not be awarded. This is an on-site training. Participants must attend all sessions. This training is also offered as a personalized district scope of work.

Participants will apply industry and national standards for course design to establish online course modules, with demonstrated evidence in an online unit of study.
