DESCRIPTION:
School Teams will examine the K-8 TDA Learning Progressionsand student essays to understand the development of the reading comprehension, analysis and writing skills at each grade level. Teams will discuss texts and prompts appropriate for each standard progression. Teams will have the opportunity to plan a schedule of the number of TDA writings at each grade level, plan for texts, common vocabulary and graphic orgainziser that make for a strong cohesive development of TDA skills.
Participants will: Examine the K-8 TDA Learning Progressions and student essays to understand the development of the reading comprehension skills, the analysis skills and the writing skills in each grade level; Teams will discuss texts and prompts that encompass the standards at each grade level; Teams will plan a schedule of TDA writings, resources, common vocabulary and graphic organizers
