This virtual session will highlight five ways to engage young people in STEM with a focus on the future.
Learn:
- Strategies to support STEM career exploration during out-of-school time.
- Techniques for incorporating relevant standards and digital resources.
- Methods to recognize, nurture and honor student passions and aptitude in STEM.
- Strategies for guiding youth in uncovering their own STEM identity and career aspirations.
Webinar participants will also have the opportunity to engage in some hands-on STEM learning facilitated by Dr. Maslyk.
Join us as we explore new ideas around science, technology, engineering, and math as a potential career path for every learner.

An educator for the last 27 years, Dr. Jacie Maslyk has served as a classroom teacher, reading specialist, elementary principal and assistant superintendent. She currently serves as an instructional coach and educational consultant, supporting schools through professional learning and job-embedded coaching. She provides workshops (on-site and virtual), model lessons, and curriculum support to school districts and educational organizations across the country. A published author, Jacie has written several books, including “STEAM Makers: Fostering Creativity and Innovation in the Elementary Classroom,” “Connect to Lead: Power Up Your Learning Network to Move Your School Forward,” and “Remake Literacy: Innovative Instructional Strategies for Maker Learning.”
