DESCRIPTION
This day-long science summit is the first step to helping teachers build background knowledge in ambitious science teaching practices, especially phenomenon and sense-making. This one-day summit includes a workshop that uses energy topics as a backdrop to better understand three-dimensional teaching and learning practices. Keynote speaker, Dr. Scott McDonald, Professor of Science Education at Penn State University, will outline the ideas around Ambitious Science Teaching practices. Finally, there will be a few break-out sessions for Q&A around the new PA Science standards, Storytime STEM, and our CSIU EcosySTEM and Lending Library.
