Event Information
The CSTAG train-the-trainer program is 1.5 day training, starting on Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at 9:00 a.m. and will conclude on Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at 12:30 p.m. Lunch will be provided on day one of this event. This program is intended to prepare school-based staff to conduct a one-day CSTAG workshops for school teams. This workshop covers the foundations of school threat assessment (Level 1) and the practical application of the CSTAG model in case exercises (Level 2). Those completing the train-the-trainer program can serve their particular school district, region, or other catchment area defined at the time of training. Local trainers are not authorized to conduct freelance CSTAG training.
The train-the-trainer program consists of a total of 2.5 days of training. Participants must have completed the CSTAG full-day workshop covering Level 1 and Level 2 prior to participating in the train-the-trainer, which is a day one of training. On the second day, Dr. Dewey Cornell will review the training process and logistics, answer questions, and generally prepare the trainers to conduct their own workshops. On the last half-day, trainers will make a brief oral presentation and complete a written exam.
In order to be accepted into the CSTAG train-the-trainer program, participants must complete their registration and then submit a resume to Michelle Kern ([email protected]) no later than Feb. 14, 2022. An email confirmation will be sent to each registrant notify of program acceptance.
