DESCRIPTION:
Educators will complete activities related to being able to identify what a gifted student and gifted education as per PA Chapter 16 regulations, follow the regulatory timelines for documentation associated with gifted education, distinct the social-emotional needs of students who are identified as gifted, compare and contrast the differences between accelerated and enrichment education, and implement best practices for serving students who are identified as gifted. This training will help gifted teachers understand PA Chapter 16 regulations and best practices for gifted education.
Edcuators will be able to:
- Identify what a gifted student and gifted education is as per PA Chapter 16 regulations
- Follow the regulatory timelines for documentation associated with gifted education, distinct the social-emtional needs of students who are identified as gifted
- Compare and contrast the differences between accelerated and enrichment education
- Implement best practices for serving students who are identified as gifted.

Date: 9/1/21 to 11/30/2021- course will be completed at your own pace during this time frame. A join code will be provided in the confirmation email.
Act 48: 8 hours will be awarded at the completion of the course
