DESCRIPTION:
Me Too is a program developed over 2 years when Dr. Podgurski consulted with the Arc of Washington PA. The goal of Me Too is to empower professionals, parents, and self-advocates with the tools to teach and model healthy sexuality for individuals of all abilities. This workshop will help participants adapt innovative teaching tools Dr. Podgurski created over 40 years. The Teen Outreach she founded taught over a quarter million young people from 1988 - 2013 and is still taught in Western PA school districts. Her focus on individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities has been implemented widely. Her focus is that #EachPersonIsAPersonofWorth. All people are worthy of information about their bodies, relationships, and consent.
