DESCRIPTION: Training focused on engaging virtual students in social constructs. Building relationships with students and families will be highlighted and opportunities for developing programs surrounding social and emotional learning will be explored. Identification of at-risk students, understanding socioeconomic factors and other disparities which may exist in the virtual learning environment will be explored. In this make and take session, district teams will work together to create a support plan to facilitate students' success. Participants will leave the training with a plan for developing program supports for district students in the virtual learning setting. Participants are encouraged to come with individual district program goals and current student data. DETAILS: --- Location: CSIU Conference & Learning Center - Susquehanna B --- Registration Opens: 8:00 am --- Lunch: will be provided --- - Act 48 Hours: Minimum 2.5 hours or a maximum of 4.0 hours (you must attend the entire event to receive Act48 hours. No partial hours will be given). The CSIU will upload Act 48 hours for this event to the PDE. --- Registration Deadline: September 19, 2019
