DESCRIPTION:
Teaching Analysis: The Chain of Reasoning Course is a blended course providing educators the skills to guide students through text in order to analyze and reason a well-supported meaning of the text, both orally and written. Participants will implement the evidence- based strategies in their instruction with coaching support and will be provided pre and post tests and student growth measurement tools. These are critical life skills (college and career readiness) as well as skills needed for proficiency on the PSSA. This is a 3-credit course. (25 max. participants)
Upon registration for Teaching Analysis: The Chain of Reasoning Course you will receive a Schoology code that will provide access to the materials for this blended course. There will be a virtual introduction to the course on October 12, 2021 from 6-8:00 pm, an on-site workshop Nov. 2, 2021 8:30-3:30 at CSIU, Jan. 11 virtual 6-8:00pm, an on-site workshop Feb. 23 8:30-3:30. Participation in all sessions is required to receive credit and you will need a substitute for these days. Lunch is on your own.
