DESCRIPTION: Develop a quality aligned K-12 computer science program within the school district. Participants will be able to: Discuss the state of CS in PA, describe the SCRIPT, its purpose, and its applications, identify the top three impact areas most important to their district community, create a CS vision statement, describe the state of CS in their LEA, define SMART goals for advancing CS in their LE. DETAILS: ---Location: CSIU Conference & Learning Center - Susquehanna B ---Target Audience: SCRIPT teams from PA LEAS must include, a minimum, of the following for a group: 1 central administrator, 1 building administrator, 2 teachers/librarians - currently teaching CS OR who will be asked to teach CS, and 1 school counselor ---Lunch: will be provided ---Registration Deadline: December 3, 2019 ---Inclement Weather: Announcements regarding this event will be distributed as follows: (1) Primary Source - by 6:30 am - automated announcement on the CSIU's main telephone greeting (570) 523-1155, Option 9 (2) Secondary Source - an email from the CSIU Registration System sent to all registered users.
