DESCRIPTION

This schoology course consists of three self-paced learning modules that provide foundational knowledge of the three principles of UDL. Particpants will take an in depth look at the why, what and how of UDL to design learning environments that are accessible to all learners. They will have the opportunity to interact with other paarticipants through discussion boards and course submissions.

Date:  June 6, 2022-August 31, 2022- Asychronous- self paced workshop

Act 48: 6 hours if all sessions are attended and assignments completed

Target Audience: Regular Education Teachers, Special Education Teachers, Administrators (all grade levels)

What to Expect:

1. Getting started:  Participants will review the principles of the UDL framework. Participants will complete a pre self assessment rubric related to prior UDL knowledge. 

2. Module 1: Participants will explore the "Why" of UDL through various means of learning and will participate in discussion posts with others. 

3. Module 2: Participants will take a closer look into the neuroscience behind the UDL framework and demonstrate knowledge and understanding through discussion posts. 

4. Module 3: Participants will engage in an action planning process to prepare for implementing UDL within their educational environments
