Moving from Emergency Online Instruction to Quality Teaching and Course Design Workshop - Event Information

Reflecting on the past is the key to the future.This workshop supports teachers who are teaching online or blended courses. During this workshop, participants will work together to utilize Quality Matters toolkit resources including the Emergency Remote Instruction Checklist and the the Bridge to Quality Course Design Guide to examine current online teaching and course design practices. Identification of individual areas for continuous improvement and development will be explored.
Participants will leave with a plan for targeting an area of focus for continuous improvement by creating an action plan supporting differentiated professional learning plans.
The session will end with educators sharing individual action plans and reflecting on how the plan can positively influence student learning and future success in online and blended classrooms.
Edcuators will be able to: reflect on online and blended learning course development, utilize tools for course design to identify areas for targeted development, create and share an action plan for future areas of development supporting continuous improvement

Target Audience: Educators teaching in a blended or fully online educational platform. Level: beginner, intermediate, advanced. Miniumum of 5 participants required.
