This full day session will teach the skills required for safe use of Safe Crisis Management at the preschool level. Classroom content includes discussion of core concepts of the curriculum, de-escalation strategies and documentation requirements. Physical skills to intervene with explosive children are taught Participants will • Describe the sequence of an explosive behavioral event, including the curve of explosion and crisis cycle • Perform Emergency Safety Physical Intervention skills at a 90% or above level. • Explain the use of the Behavior Incident Report. • State two de-escalation strategies from the Tier One and Two PBIS levels. • Pass a written test at an 85% or above level Date: 11/22/2019 Time: 8:30-3:30 Location: St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 9 St. Luke's Way, Bloomsburg PA 17815
