This two hour presentation will provide Head Start staff with the awareness of and skills for providing a foundation in phonology to support later reading skills. Head Start staff will: - Know the sounds contained in the English language and be able to produce them accurately - Give an example of a way to teach sounds to preschool children - Tell the sequence of instruction for phonological awareness.
