DESCRIPTION: Over the course of this four-day training, participants will use their knowledge of TDAs to examine their own student's work with the guidance of trainers from the PDE Cadre of Experts in order to inform their professional practice and to become skilled in how to raise the level of classroom instruction to help students attain proficiency. Participants will use the progression maps to make instructional decisions based on the levels of student's skills, analyze student work to identify skill levels in reading, writing, and analysis, teach a TDA replacement unit in their class, adapt scaffolding materials to increase student, skills in reading, writing, and analysis, and use multiple self-assessing tools for TDA lesson components. DETAILS: ---Dates: October 7, October 25, November 18 and December 4, 2019 ---Location: CSIU Conference & Learning Center ---Cost: $350 per person ---Target Audience: TDA teachers ---Lunch: will be on your own ---Act48 hours: 20.0 (you must attend the entire event to receive Act 48. No partial hours will be given). The CSIU will upload the hours for this event to the PDE PERMS system.
