Event Information

This cadre of teachers will travel through the process of giving a TDA pretest, mid-year check and TDA post-test with the guidance of the TDA Coach in the three sessions. The instructor will provide the tools and the training to both measure and plan next instructional steps that grow students in the TDA core skills. Participants will have access to the TDA Google folder of materials. This training can be purchased by individual districts that includes monthly coaching support. This Cadre of educators will: • Meet in Sept to learn the process of the TDA Student work analysis; apply the Google Data Collection Tool, select a text and prompt to give as a pretest, become skilled at identify inferencing, evidence and analysis in student writing • Meet in Dec. either FTF or virtually to examine student work progress; learn strategies to support struggling students • Meet in March to (will have given the post TDA) enter data in Google Collection Tool; evaluate growth and finalize last month’s instruction before the PSSA

  • Dates: September 21, December 9, 2020 and March 18, 2021
  • Location: Zoom Virtual (unless determined otherwise) 
  • Cost: $225 per person
  • Target Audience: Gr 3-8 ELA Teachers; Instructional Coaches; Reading Specialists; Special Ed Teachers; Administrators --
  • Registration Deadline: September 14, 2020 by 12:00 pm
  • Act 48 hours: 12 (must attend entire 3-day event to earn Act 48 hours. No partial hours will be given. The CSIU will upload Act 48 hours for this event to the PDE PERMS system). Anyone requesting Act 48 hours must provide the correct PPID# and provide proof of attendance (sign-in and sign-out roster provided at the event).
  • PAYMENT METHODS:
    • Credit Card: If you choose this payment option, please be advised that if you are a district and having several staff attending, our system does not allow for group registrations at this time. For credit card refunds, please allow three-four weeks for processing.
    • P.O. (Purchase Order) If you choose this payment option, we will not bill your district or organization until after the event. If you do not have a P.O. number when registering, please feel free to place your district or organization name in the space provided.
  • CANCELLATION POLICY: If you are unable to attend this event, please confirm by email to: [email protected] no later than Monday, September 14, 2020 to receive a full refund. Refunds will be issued in the same form payment was made. Please allow three-four weeks for processing.
