Event Information

DESCRIPTION:  With the pressures faced by School districts and School Board members, Legislative Advocacy is as important now as ever.  Legislation affects all parts of school operations including funding, mandates, charter schools, curriculum regulations, etc.  The Pennsylvania School Boards Association, as part of your membership, offers advocacy training to Board members and superintendents to help develop a strategy for communicating district needs and concerns to the local legislators.  During the training you will learn strategies for reaching out to legislators and creating positive relationships.

DETAILS:

  • Location:  Zoom Training (IMPORTANT: You MUST be registered in the CSIU Registration system to receive the Zoom information provided by email prior to event. You MUST use the same email you registered with when attending the Zoom event.
  • Time:  7:00 pm to 8:00 pm
  • Target Audience: Disctrict school board members
  • Registration Deadline:  Monday, January 25, 20201 by 3:00 pm
  • Attendance:  each registered user MUST be logged in to Zoom separately under the email they registerd with in order for the system to accurately track attendance.

The CSIU Registration System is fully integrated with Zoom.  It is important your account information is current and the email address used is the same in both systems (any discrepency will not track information correctly between the systems and you will forfeit your Act48 hours being uploaded).
